Condrosulf 400mg contains the active substance chondroitin sulfate, which is one of the main components of the intercellular mass of cartilage. In articular degenerative processes, the content of chondroitin sulphate in cartilage is reduced by the action of specific enzymes that lead to cartilage degeneration and subsequent deterioration of joint function. Condrosulf 400mg is indicated for the treatment of degenerative joint diseases, in particular knee osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis) or hip (coxarthrosis) mild to moderate joint and osteoarthritis of the finger joints. Osteoarthritis is a disease that causes pain and functional limitations of the joints. Condrosulf 400 mg hard capsules are for adults.
What is osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis is a chronic joint disease in which articular cartilage decreases and rebuilds. The process is accompanied by reactive changes in the area of adjacent bone tissues, as well as changes in insertions and ligaments around the affected joint.
The most common manifestation of the disease is pain. The pain first occurs when moving and after more exertion, in other stages of the disease may be also resting pain and also night pain. Typical for arthritis of large joints are so-called starter pains - ie pains that are at the very beginning of movement after a longer period of rest and disappear within a few minutes of active movement.
How to take Condrosulf 400 mg:
Adults take 2 capsules twice a day for 2 weeks (initial treatment) and 2 capsules once daily for 2 months (maintenance treatment). After the treatment, a three-month break is recommended and a course of treatment may be repeated. If there is no pain relief and joint improvement after 2-3 months, consult your doctor for treatment. Condrosulf 400mg is not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Composition:
The active substance is chondroitini sodium sulphate 400 mg in one hard capsule.
The other ingredients are gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171), idigocarmine (E 132), quinoline yellow (E 104) and magnesium stearate (E 470 B).
