Cotylena vaginal tablets are used for manifestations of fungal infection and for vaginitis of fungal origin in adult women and girls from 12 years of age. Vaginal mycosis is an unpleasant disease of the vagina, the most common causative agent of which is yeast (Candida albicans). Infection most often occurs as a result of antibiotic therapy, in connection with diabetes, excessive consumption of sweets, when taking hormonal contraceptives with a high dose of estrogens, after bathing in polluted water or wearing airtight and tight underwear.
Symptoms of vaginal mycosis:
- unpleasant itching inside and outside the vagina
- swelling and soreness of the tissues of the vagina and vulva
- burning when urinating
- whitish curd-like discharge from the vagina
- pain during intercourse and pressure and pain in the lower abdomen
Dosage
Adult women and girls from 12 years of age are introduced deep into the vagina (using an applicator) 1 time per day (preferably in the evening) 1 vaginal tablet for 3 consecutive days. It is not advisable to use during menstruation. Do not use for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
Composition
The active substance is 200 mg clotrimazole in one vaginal tablet.
Additional components are: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, polysorbate 80, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, stearic acid 95%, adipic acid.
