The powerful, aromatic freshness of Sauvage Parfum is illuminated by a trace of juicy, spicy mandarin. Intoxicating swirls of luscious tonka bean with an aroma of leather and bitterness refer to the dominant trace of sandalwood from Sri Lanka.

The sandalwood, sourced from a Sri Lankan plantation that has collaborated with Dior for over 10 years, boasts rich nuances and unusual quality thanks to special farming techniques. The difficult-to-cultivate plant is controlled from the early stages of growth and then "released" into the wilds of the plantation, where nature itself takes care of it. In this harsh natural environment with no human intervention, each sapling tries to grow, spread its branches and succeed, which sometimes takes 100 years and the sapling reaches a height of over 12 meters! The powerful and rich essence of sandalwood in Sauvage is what represents its unique olfactory qualities.
