acacia fiber
To obtain the acacia fibers, incisions are made in the bark of the Seyal acacia tree, which grows in the African Sahel desert, which then excretes the milky sap that is valuable for health. Only physical methods are used in its processing. It is neither chemically nor enzymatically modified. This creates a pure, unaltered natural product in organic quality that contains more than 80% soluble fiber.

When it comes to dietary fiber, a distinction is made between soluble and insoluble dietary fiber. Soluble dietary fibers, such as those found in acacia fibers, also bind and excrete bile acid. Cholesterol is consumed in the new production of bile acid. Dietary fiber thus lowers cholesterol levels. They also inhibit fat-splitting enzymes, which means that less fat from food can be absorbed into the body.
You can find general information about the diverse effects of dietary fiber on your intestines and thus on your health here:
Too much, too fat, too late...
Malnutrition from highly refined and industrially denatured foods and lack of exercise from sedentary jobs result in chronic constipation in approximately one in five adults in industrialized nations. Hard bowel movements, heavy straining and chronic constipation favor the occurrence of diverticula and hemorrhoids. Abdominal pain, flatulence, bleeding during bowel movements, a feeling of pressure and fullness, as well as itching in the anus after bowel movements are unpleasant consequences that massively restrict the quality of life of those affected.
It is important to increase the stool moisture and the amount of stool so that the stool becomes softer and the intestinal passage is thus facilitated and shortened. High-quality roughage, such as that in acacia fiber, is essential for intestinal health.
Health claims according to the European Health Claims Regulation
There is no official daily requirement for fiber. The DGE (German Society for Nutrition) recommends at least 30 g of fiber per day. On October 15, 2009, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published the following findings on fiber:
“A daily intake of 25 grams of fiber is sufficient for normal bowel function in adults. In addition, in adults, higher fiber intake has been shown to be associated with health benefits (e.g. reduced risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes and weight maintenance).”
Carry fiber (from 6 g).
