Effipro duo 50 mg / 60 mg is a spot-on solution for cats against fleas and ticks.

STATEMENT OF ACTIVE AND OTHER SUBSTANCES

Each 0.5 ml pipette contains:
Active substances: Fipronil 50 mg, Pyriproxyfen 60 mg
Other substances: Butylhydroxyanisole (E 320) 0.1 mg, Butylhydroxytoluene (E 321) 0.05 mg

Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) ) from a group of substances known as juvenile hormone analogues. Contact with the molecule prevents the formation of adults by blocking the development of eggs (ovicidal effect), larvae and pupae (larvicidal effect), which are subsequently removed.
 
The combination of fipronil and pyriproxyfen provides an insecticidal and acaricidal effect against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and ticks (Rhipicephalus turanicus, Ixodes ricinus) and also prevents the development of adult fleas from eggs.
This combination provides comprehensive protection against flea infestation, which can be used against flea infestation alone or in conjunction with ticks.
