Flaminal Forte 500 g
Flaminal® Forte is a medical device and is intended for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Flaminal® belongs to the group of substances for wound healing, the so-called enzyme Alginogels®. It consists of an antibacterial enzyme system embedded in hydrated alginates. Flaminal enables the autolytic removal of necrotic tissues (= wound cleansing and absorption of bacteria) and kills the absorbed bacteria.
Flaminal promotes wound healing in several ways:
- removes necrotic tissue from the wound
- keeps the wound moist by covering it with an intact gel structure (intact = retains its shape for up to 4 days)
- provides antimicrobial protection
- it is safe for the skin and tissue in the wound area
- reduces wound odor caused by bacteria
- helps reduce excessive activity of proteases (protease = protein-degrading enzyme)
- reduces the release of bacteria from the biofilm
- protects the edges of the wound
Indication:
- diabetic foot ulcers
- superficial or moderate deep burns (second degree)
- postoperative wounds, wounds caused by an accident
- bedsores (pressure ulcers), skin cracks
- wounds after radiotherapy
- oncological wounds
Flaminal is also intended for wound preparation for subsequent surgery, such as skin grafting or negative pressure wound therapy (wound bed preparation). Flaminal® can be used in all age groups.
The package contains 50 g.

Dosage and method of use
Application or repeated application of the product is easy and painless.
- Before applying the product, it is recommended to clean the wound and its surroundings.
- Cover the entire wound bed with a sufficiently thick layer (e.g. 4-5 mm) of the product. Flaminal® can be applied in the following ways, for example: directly from the tube, primarily directly on the bandage, spatula, nozzle or syringe.
- Cover Flaminal® with a bandage. The choice of covering material should be guided by the type of wound: - For moderately to heavily exuding wounds: absorbent non-adherent covering fixed with a non-adherent bandage or hypoallergenic adhesive tape.
- Check the dressing daily. - Flaminal® cover dressing can remain in place as long as the gel structure is intact (1 to 4 days, depending on the amount of exudate). - If the gel leaks or if there is a lack of gel, Flaminal® needs to be replaced and a new covering bandage applied.
- Every time you change the dressing / clean the wound: - Clean the wound and its surroundings well. - Remove all dry whitish alginate flakes from the wound. You can leave only the flakes on the edge of the wound. Flakes prevent weakening of the wound edges by maceration (softening and breakdown of the skin due to long-term exposure to moisture). Maceration slows wound healing.
