COMPOSITION
Each pipette 2.68 ml contains: FipronilM 268.00 mg, (S) - Methoprenum 241.20 mg
Route of administration: external application to the skin.
Dosage:
one 2.68 (L) ml pipette for a large dog weighing 20 to 40 kg.
This ensures a minimum recommended dose of 6.7 mg / kg fipronil and 6mg / kg (S) -methoprene. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum interval between applications is 4 weeks. Method of administration: Hold the pipette upright and break off the tip. Double-tap the tapered portion of the pipette and ensure that the contents remain in the main portion of the pipette. Distribute the animal's hair in the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press it several times so that the contents are emptied directly on the skin in one place.
CONTRAINDICATION
In the absence of adequate data on the use of the product in the youngest age categories, do not apply to puppies under 8 weeks of age and / or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use in rabbits where undesirable reactions may sometimes lead to death.
Do not administer to diseased animals (eg systemic diseases, fever ...) or to convalescent animals. The preparation is intended for dogs. Not to be used in cats could lead to overdose.
SIDE EFFECTS
Transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local hair loss, pruritus, redness) and general pruritus or hair loss have been reported among rare occasional adverse reactions after use. Excessive salivation, reversible nerve symptoms (increased sensitivity to stimuli, depression, other nerve symptoms), vomiting or respiratory symptoms have also been observed after use.
If licking has occurred, a brief period of excessive salivation may occur as a reaction mainly due to the characteristics of the carrier. Avoid overdose.
If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon.
NOTICE
It is important to ensure that the product is applied to a place where the animal cannot lick it, and to prevent licking of the animals after application. Bathing / soaking in water within 2 days after application and more frequent bathing than once a week is not recommended as no study has been conducted to determine how bathing affects the efficacy of this product. Emollient shampoos may be used prior to treatment, but reduce the duration of flea activity to approximately 5 weeks when used once a week after application. Bathing weekly with a 2% chlorhexidine medicated shampoo did not affect flea efficacy during the 6-week study.
Individual ticks may be attached. Therefore, the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely ruled out if conditions are unfavorable. Fleas in pets often attack animal crates, places where the animal is sleeping and resting, such as carpets and home equipment, which should be regularly treated with suitable insecticides and cleaned with a vacuum cleaner in the event of a massive attack and at the beginning of protective measures.
