GeloMyrtol 120 mg 20 capsules
GeloMyrtol ® has a mucus-liquefying effect in the respiratory tract, promotes the removal of secretions, facilitates expectoration and has an anti-inflammatory effect. For removing mucus in acute and chronic catarrhs of the respiratory tract (bronchitis) and in inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (sinusitis). If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 10 days, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
GeloMyrtol ® must not be taken
- if you are allergic to eucalyptus oil, sweet orange oil, myrtle oil, lemon oil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- by children under 3 years of age.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking GeloMyrtol®. Particular caution when taking GeloMyrtol ® is required in the case of existing kidney and gallstones, as they can be set in motion in rare cases, and in inflammatory diseases of the intestine. Do not take GeloMyrtol ® after eating. If children have problems swallowing the capsules, please speak to your doctor.

No interactions are known. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
pregnancy and breast feeding period
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Caution should be exercised when using GeloMyrtol® during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
application
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is: In the case of acute inflammatory diseases, 2 capsules 4-5 times a day. In the case of chronic symptoms, take 2 capsules 3 times a day. This dosage is also recommended for long-term treatment. To make coughing up in the morning easier in the case of chronic bronchitis, 2 additional capsules can be taken in the evening before going to bed.
Application in children
Age 3-6 years:
- Acute symptoms: 1 capsule 3 – 4 times a day
- Chronic diseases: 1 capsule 2 – 3 times a day
Age 7-11 years:
- Acute symptoms: 1 capsule 4 times a day or 2 capsules 3 times a day
- Chronic diseases: 1 or 2 capsules 3 times a day
To take.
GeloMyrtol ® should be taken half an hour before eating with plenty of liquid. The capsules should not be taken with hot drinks or after eating. To facilitate a night's rest, the last dose can be taken before bedtime. Parents should take care that the child does not bite the capsule. The duration of treatment with GeloMyrtol ® depends on the symptoms. Long-term treatment is possible for chronic respiratory diseases.
side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Gastrointestinal disorders: Gastrointestinal disorders such as B. Stomach pain / upper abdominal discomfort, rarely nausea or diarrhea, vomiting. Taste changes and belching have been observed very rarely.
Immune system disorders: Hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. skin rash, facial swelling, shortness of breath or circulatory disorders) have been reported rarely.
Liver and biliary disorders: Very rarely, existing gallstones can be set in motion.
Diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract: Very rarely existing kidney stones can be set in motion.
composition
The active substance in 1 capsule is: 120 mg distillate from a mixture of rectified eucalyptus oil, rectified sweet orange oil, rectified myrtle oil and rectified lemon oil (66:32:1:1).
The other ingredients are: medium-chain triglycerides, gelatin, glycerol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), hydrochloric acid solution, hypromellose acetate succinate, triethyl citrate, sodium laurilsulfate, talc, dextrin, glycyrrhizic acid (ammonium salt), lecithin (vegetable) in traces.
