DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel belongs to the group of so-called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are used to treat pain and inflammation. DicloAkut Pain Gel is intended for external use only. The white, creamy preparation absorbs quickly into the skin without making it greasy and cools. DicloAkut Pain Gel has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect. DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel reduces inflammatory swelling and relieves pain caused by pressure and movement. DicloAkut Pain Gel is used for the local treatment of
- Pain caused by muscle tension (including lumbago). Pain and swelling after blunt injuries and sports injuries (such as sprains, strains, bruises).
If you do not feel better or worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
Contraindications
DicloAkut Pain Gel must not be used
- if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and/or other rheumatism/painkillers (NSAIDs) or have ever had an allergic reaction to such medicines.
- in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
- in the last 3 months of pregnancy.
interactions
Use of DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel together with other medicines Tell
your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using other medicines, have recently taken/used other medicines or intend to take/use other medicines. In the case of large-scale external use, interactions cannot be ruled out with certainty. Since the absorption of the active substance into the circulation is extremely low, interactions with other medicinal products are very unlikely.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Since there is insufficient experience, DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel should not be used during the first 6 months of pregnancy. The dose should be kept as low and the duration as short as possible. DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel must not be used in the last 3 months of pregnancy (see also Section 2 "DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel must not be used"). During breastfeeding, DicloAkut Pain Gel should only be used for compelling reasons and only for a short time and should not be applied to larger areas of skin or the breast, since it is not known whether Diclofenac passes into breast milk.
Ability to drive and use machines
The use of DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel according to the recommended dosage has no effect on the ability to drive and use machines.
DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel contains propylene glycol
DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel contains propylene glycol, which can cause skin irritation.
application
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
DicloAkut Pain Gel is intended for use on the skin. Unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise, apply a cherry to walnut-sized amount - depending on the size of the painful area to be treated - (corresponds to 2-4 g) of DicloAkut Pain Gel to the affected part of the body and gently rub in the gel. You can repeat this process up to 3-4 times a day. Wash your hands after rubbing in DicloAkut pain gel, unless the affected areas are on your hands. Contact your doctor if the pain and swelling doesn't improve within 7 days or gets worse. Do not use DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel for more than 2 weeks unless your doctor recommends a longer period of use.
Use in children and adolescents
There is no clinical data yet on the efficacy and safety of this formulation in children and adolescents under 14 years of age and only limited data in adolescents 14 to 18 years of age.
DicloAkut Pain Gel may not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 14 and in adolescents between 14 and 18 years only under medical supervision and on small areas. In young people, please pay particular attention to any general side effects caused by the absorption of the active ingredient in the circulatory system (e.g. stomach problems) and contact your doctor in this case.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Some side effects could be serious.
If you get any serious side effects, stop using the medicine and tell a doctor straight away.
Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people)
- Skin inflammation with blistering
Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
- allergic reactions such as rash, itching, hives, trouble breathing or swallowing, dizziness (signs of hypersensitivity)
- swelling of the face and neck (signs of angioedema)
- sudden difficulty breathing and chest tightness with wheezing or coughing (signs of asthma)

- Rash, itching, redness, swelling, blistering, burning or peeling of the skin at the treated area

- increased sensitivity to sunlight

- dry skin
If DicloAkut Pain Relief Gel is applied to larger areas over a longer period of time, the occurrence of systemic side effects (mainly in the gastrointestinal tract) cannot be completely ruled out.
composition
The active substance is: diclofenac
- 60 g gel contain 0.696 g diclofenac diethylamine, equivalent to 0.6 g diclofenac sodium.
- 100 g of gel contain 1.16 g of diclofenac diethylamine, equivalent to 1 g of diclofenac sodium.
The other ingredients are: propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, diethylamine, paraffin oil macrogolcetylstearyl ether, carbomer 974 P, cocoyl caprylocaprate, perfume cream 45399, purified water.
