Guttalax 7.5 mg drops 30 ml

Guttalax is a locally acting laxative that stimulates the peristalsis of the colon and softens the stool. Guttalax is indicated for the treatment of acute functional constipation and occasional use to facilitate emptying in chronic constipation. Guttalax is suitable for short-term use in adults and children over 4 years of age. Children should take the medicine on the advice of a doctor.

Dosage

Adults, adolescents and children over 10 years take 10-20 drops once a day. The maximum dose is 20 drops per day. Children aged 4-10 take 5-10 drops once a day. The maximum dose is 10 drops per day. The product is taken in the evening before bed, the effect usually occurs the following morning. It is recommended to start with the lowest dose. The product can be administered regularly for a maximum of 2 weeks.

Ingredients

The active substance is picosulfate monohydrate sodium 7.5 mg in 1 ml (= 15 drops) solution.

The other ingredients are sodium benzoate, sorbitol 70% non-crystallising, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
