OraQuick ADVANCE Rapid Antibody Test is a manual, visually readable 20 minute immunoassay for the detection of antibodies against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and type 2 (HIV-2) in oral fluid samples , whole blood taken from the finger and plasma. The test strip contains synthetic peptides representing the HIV envelope region and goat anti-human LgG.
This test is for professional healthcare professionals only.
It is not intended to monitor individuals who are being treated with highly active antiretroviral therapy. It is not approved for use in screening blood or tissue donors.
