HYLO-COMOD® is a sterile solution without the addition of a preservative. It contains 1 mg / ml sodium hyaluronate, citrate buffer, sorbitol and water.
What is HYLO-COMOD® used for?
For better moisturization of the ocular surface due to sensitivity disturbances caused by environmental influences such as dry eye, foreign body sensation in the eye, or eye burning, or after surgery on the eye.
When should HYLO-COMOD be used?
If the eyes itch, they burn, they are quickly tired, if there is a feeling that there is sand in them, the lack of moisturizing of the ocular surface is the cause of these problems. For example, a long-term stay in air-conditioned rooms or intense screen monitoring may disrupt the natural tear film more quickly. To be able to perform its functions, eye tissue must be constantly moistened.
Natural tear formation can be reduced even after surgery on the eye or after eye injuries. However, regeneration of superficial tissues requires constant sufficient humidification. By using the HYLO-COMOD® solution, the cornea and conjunctiva are permanently supplied with moisture for a long time, so that the physiological healing processes can proceed optimally.
HYLO-COMOD® contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural substance found in the eye but also in other parts of the body. This compound has special physical properties - it produces a uniform, stable and long-lasting moist film on the surface of the eye, which resists flushing, while the functions of the eye remain fully preserved. The eye is protected from drying out and irritation for a long time.
Due to the absence of preservative, HYLO-COMOD® is generally well tolerated. In addition, HYLO-COMOD® does not contain phosphates, so complications in the formation of deposits on the cornea are avoided.
How often and how long should HYLO-COMOD® be used?
The number of daily doses of HYLO-COMOD® depends on individual judgment, the recommendation of a doctor or a contact lens wearer. Generally, 1 drop is dripped 3 times a day in the conjunctival sac of each eye. In the event of severe problems, HYLO-COMOD® can be used more often during the day.
If you should use HYLO-COMOD® more frequently (eg more than 10 times a day), have your eyes examined by your eye doctor. HYLO-COMOD® is suitable for long-term use, but you should also ask your ophthalmologist for advice on prolonged discomfort.
When should HYLO-COMOD be used?
HYLO-COMOD® should not be used in hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
What other policies do you need to follow when storing?
Store at room temperature. After first opening, the vial contents can be used for 6 months. Do not use after the expiry date. Keep out of the reach of children.
