The self-diagnostic test of the third generation is a medical device that detects with more than 99% accuracy the presence of HIV antibodies from a drop of blood from a finger. Results in 1 minute, the test is able to detect antibodies against the HIV virus as early as 21-22 days after infection. The test has CE certification.

A diagnostic test designed for discreet use in the comfort of your home. Without the need for a laboratory examination, it detects the presence of antibodies against the HIV virus in the human body and thus provides a preliminary diagnostic result. The test can be used by untrained lay users for self-testing to diagnose HIV-1 and HIV-2 infection.

Rapid HIV self-diagnostic test:

  • Detects HIV infection up to two weeks earlier than other home tests.
  • The results are known  in just a minute, the fastest test on the market.
  • It is an innovative solution that allows testing in a home environment.
  • Intended for use by untrained lay users.
  • It can detect IgM and IgG anti-HIV antibodies as early as 21-22 days after infection.
  • Simple fingertip blood sampling.
  • Diagnostic specificity of the test 99.8% (a positive result is correct in 998 out of 1000 tests).
  • Approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).

How early can this test detect HIV infection?

Based on studies by Biolytical Laboratories, the third-generation INSTI test is capable of detecting HIV antibodies of the IgM and IgG classes. IgM antibodies are the first antibodies that the body produces after infection with the HIV virus and are detectable within 21-22 days. Depending on how quickly a person's immune system makes HIV antibodies after infection, it can take up to 3 months to get a positive result in some cases. If you think you have been exposed to HIV in the past 3 months and your results are negative, you will need to retest at least 3 months after exposure.
