Sterile iso-osmotic solution based on Ringer's solution with 0.02% polyhexanide . It suppresses the growth of microorganisms in wound dressings and in the solution itself. Ringer's solution is a physiological, isotonic electrolyte solution with very good tissue tolerance. Using an isotonic solution prevents swelling of the skin and irritation of the wound. Polyhexanide is an antiseptic with a broad spectrum of effectiveness against bacteria, yeast and some types of fungi . The combination of Ringer's solution with polyhexanide in a concentration of 0.02% has been shown to have very good tissue tolerance . The formation of new healthy tissue is not limited and the use is painless for the patient.
