Mepilex Transfer Ag is a soft silicone wound contact layer that absorbs and drains exudate, maintains a humid environment and has antimicrobial effects due to the silver sulfate content. Mepilex Transfer Ag is intended for use on mild to high exuding wounds, including areas that are difficult to treat, where an antimicrobial effect is desired: traumatic wounds, burns II. degrees, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds and malignant wounds.
Dosage and method of use
Mepilex Transfer Ag can be left in place for up to 14 days depending on the patient, the condition of the wound and the surrounding skin, or according to established clinical practice. It is intended for short-term use for a maximum of 4 weeks. In case of long-term use, a physician's assessment is recommended.
