Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a pathogenic wood-destroying fungus. We find it on the trunks of mostly dead trees or stumps. Its fruiting bodies are semicircular and have a diameter of 6–12 cm and are specific for their glossy lacquer layer, from which the Czech name is derived.

Reishi (Ganoderma) is native to Asia. It is an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine, which has been used for more than 4,000 years. Reishi (Ganoderma) is also mentioned in the basic work of Chinese medicine, in the Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor. It was so rare at the time that it was intended only for the emperor and his family. And it was used not only in Chinese medicine, but also as a powerful talisman for happiness and protection from all evil. Monks in Taoist monasteries used Reishi (Ganoderma) before meditation, for its ability to calm Shen's soul. For its ability to regenerate the functions of the organsim and activate it, it is used by Russian astronauts or sherpas at the high altitudes of the Himalayas.

Reishi can activate the body's immune response, helping to maintain the normal function of the circulatory system. At the same time, it helps maintain normal cholesterol levels in a natural way. Reishi contains many bioactive substances that make it completely unique. In Reishi we can find in addition to vitamins, minerals and a large number of polysaccharides beta glucans, ganoderans, but also steroids, cyclic esters of lactones, triterpenes, which include ganoderic acid or lanostans, etc. For our production we use fruiting bodies aged 6-9 months. At this age, the concentration of active substances is highest. In older mushrooms, the concentration of active substances gradually decreases and the effect is not as effective.

Recommended dosage

• Increased dose: 3-10 capsules a day (it is advisable to consult a doctor or a Chinese medicine practitioner)
• Usual dose: 1-2 capsules a day
• We recommend taking it always 5 days a week and skipping 2 days
• Take the capsules on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after a meal), drink water or weak green tea
