NiQuitin Mini 4 mg is a smoking lozenge that replaces some of the nicotine absorbed by inhalation from cigarettes. NiQuitin Mini 4 mg treats smoking addiction by alleviating withdrawal symptoms (such as irritability and weakness) and suppressing the appetite for smoking when nicotine is stopped. Absorbed nicotine reduces the desire to smoke and helps to resist a cigarette. It does not contain tar or carbon monoxide and therefore does not have the same health risk as tobacco smoking. Pressed lozenges NiQuitin Mini 4 mg are intended for adult smokers who smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day.
Dosage
Stop smoking at once: Adults start taking 8-12 lozenges daily for up to 6 weeks whenever you get a cigarette. Then gradually reduce them to 1-2 lozenges a day, then stop taking them.
Quitting smoking gradually: When the irresistible need to smoke, adults use a lozenge instead of a cigarette. Gradually reduce the number of cigarettes smoked per day. Reducing the number should stop smoking.
If you do not stop smoking completely within 6 months, consult your doctor. The lozenges must not be chewed or swallowed. Do not take more than 15 lozenges a day. Children 12 years of age and adolescents should only take the medicine on the advice of a doctor.
