Oftagel eye gel 3x10 g
Oftagel is used to treat dry inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea and to alleviate the difficulties associated with dry eye syndrome (caused by insufficient tear production, impaired washing of the surface of the eye with tears). The most common symptoms of dry eye syndrome are burning eyes, soreness, irritation, foreign body or sand sensation, pressure, eye fatigue, feeling of adhesion of the eyelids to the eye and photophobia. The eye gel maintains the integrity of the tear film (protects the eye) and good slippery properties.
Dosage
Adults, adolescents and children apply 1-4 times a day 1 drop of the product into the conjunctival sac. Treatment of dry eye syndrome is usually long-term. During application, the dropper should not come into contact with any surface (not even the surface of the eye) to prevent contamination of the eye gel and eye injury. Contact of the eye gel with soft contact lenses should be avoided (possibility of discoloration of the lenses).
If the symptoms persist for more than 5 days or even worsen, and if pain is felt in the eye, there is a change in vision, persistent redness or irritation of the eye, it is necessary to see a doctor. In pregnancy or during breastfeeding, it is advisable to consult a doctor about use.
Composition
The active substance is carbomer 974 P 2.5 mg in 1 g of gel (1 g is 40 drops).
The other ingredients are benzalkonium chloride, sorbitol, lysine monohydrate, sodium acetate trihydrate, polyvinyl alcohol and water for injections.
Notification
Oftagel contains benzalkonium chloride, which may cause eye irritation. Do not use soft contact lenses.
