Ophthalmo-Septonex eye ointment with disinfectant effects is suitable for the treatment of non-purulent inflammations of the anterior segment of the eye. Ophthalmo-Septonex is used for inflammations of the eyelids and conjunctiva, for corneal damage after the removal of foreign bodies and after injuries. It can be used for a short time even during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Ophthalmo-Septonex eye ointment can be used by adults and children.

Dosage
Adults and children instill the eye ointment into the conjunctival sac or apply a small amount of eye ointment to the skin of the eyelids 3-5 times a day for a maximum of 14 days. When used in conjunction with eye drops, the ointment is usually used at night.
It is advisable to keep the eye closed for 2-3 minutes after applying the ointment to the eye socket so that the medicinal substance does not run off with the tears and can be absorbed by the cornea and conjunctiva.
Composition
The active substance is carbethopendecin bromide 5 mg in 5 g of eye ointment.
The excipients are ophthalmic white petroleum jelly, sheep wool fat (lanolin), white wax, purified water.
Notice
Ophthalmo-Septonex eye ointment contains sheep wool fat (lanolin), which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
