Suppositories Paralen 100 mg suppositories are used in children weighing from 7 kg to reduce fever in influenza illnesses and as an adjunct treatment for febrile conditions in other diseases. They are also used for mild to moderate pain of various origins.
Paracetamol, the active substance of Paralen 100 mg suppositories, acts against pain and reduces elevated body temperature.

The package contains 5 suppositories.
Dosage and method of use
Suppositories Paralen 100 mg are introduced as needed 3-4× daily at intervals of at least 6 hours in the following doses:
- children with a body weight of 7-13 kg 1 suppository,
- children with a body weight of 14-20 kg 2 suppositories.
The total daily dose of paracetamol in a 24 hour period should not exceed 60 mg/kg body weight of the child. For single administration, the dose is 10-15 mg/kg body weight.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The product is intended for administration into the rectum. The suppository, after removal from the package, is gently introduced into the rectum. After inserting the suppository, press the buttocks with your hands together for 1-2 minutes, making sure
that the suppository remains in the anus.
You can stop treatment as soon as the fever or pain subsides.
If the symptoms (fever, pain) do not resolve within 2 days or, on the contrary, the symptoms worsen or unusual reactions occur, consult your doctor about further use of the product in the child. Treatment with suppositories Paralen 100 mg without consulting a doctor should not exceed a period of 3-5 days. For infants, consult a doctor immediately for any febrile illness.
Composition
Additional components are the suppository base H 15 and W 35.
Contraindication
Read the package leaflet carefully.
Do not give Paralen 100 mg suppositories to a child if he or she is allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, if he or she has severe liver disease or acute hepatitis, if he or she has had rectal bleeding or inflammation of the rectum (proctitis), or if he has recently had the disease,
if he weighs less than 7 kg.
