Paralen SUS is indicated for the treatment of fever, especially acute bacterial and viral infections, toothache (including teething), headache, neuralgia, muscle or joint pain of non-inflammatory etiology.

  • To reduce fever in influenza and other febrile illnesses

Dosage and method of use

  • In children from 3 months of age, a single dose of 10-15 mg paracetamol/kg body weight is used to treat both fever and pain.
  • It is administered as needed at 4-6 hour intervals, not exceeding the total daily dose. No more than 4 doses are administered within 24 hours.
  • Unless the doctor recommends otherwise, determine the correct dose using the table provided according to the weight and age of the child
  1. Each pack includes a 6 ml oral syringe graduated in 0.25 ml increments to accurately measure the dose.
  2. Shake the contents of the bottle vigorously (about 5 seconds).
  3. The bottle is fitted with a child resistant closure. Open it by pressing the cap firmly down and unscrewing counterclockwise.
  4. Push the syringe through the seal in the neck of the vial into suspension.
  5. Fill the syringe by pulling the plunger with the required amount of suspension as indicated on the syringe (ml).
  6. Remove the syringe from the neck of the vial.
  7. Administer the suspension to the child either by putting the end of the syringe in the mouth and applying gentle pressure to the plunger, or by spraying the suspension onto a spoon and administering it with a spoon.
  8. If the specified dose is greater than 6 ml, repeat the measurement as necessary.
  9. After use, close the bottle tightly again. Wash the syringe with warm water and allow to dry.
  10. The suspension should be taken with a sufficient amount of liquid (e.g. water or tea)

Composition

The active substance is paracetamol; Each ml of oral suspension contains 24 mg of paracetamol.
The other ingredients are sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, sorbitol (E 420), glycerol 85%, xanthan gum, citric acid monohydrate, saccharin sodium, strawberry flavoring, purified water.

Contraindication

Read the package leaflet carefully.

If the symptoms (fever, pain) do not resolve within 2 days or, on the contrary, the symptoms worsen or unusual reactions occur, consult your doctor about further administration of the product to the child.
