The Parfums De Marly brand is inspired by the fairy-tale beauty of the Palace of Versailles and the hedonistic lifestyle of Louis XV, who was also fond of horse racing. Meliora Eau de Parfum is named after a prized purebred mare who was the mother of the famous racing stallion Herod.
