TUSSIMONT COUGH DROPS are a traditional herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant for coughs associated with a cold.

This medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product that is only registered for the stated areas of application because it has been used for many years.

TUSSIMONT COUGH DROPS are used in adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age. 

Contraindications

TUSSIMONT COUGH DROPS should not be used if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to thyme or buckhorn or to any of the other ingredients listed in section 6 or to other representatives of the mint family (e.g. sage, lemon balm, peppermint).

Interactions have not been observed so far. No interaction studies have been performed.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

In the absence of sufficient data, use during pregnancy and breast-feeding cannot be recommended.

application

Method of application:
TUSSIMONT COUGH DROPS can be taken with a little water or tea. Adults can also take the drops undiluted.

side effects

Hypersensitivity reactions and gastric disorders have been observed. The frequency of occurrence is not known.

The active ingredients in 100 g are:
50 g liquid extract of thyme (Thymi herba), DEV 1:5-7
extraction agent: ethanol 96% (v/v) : water : glycerol 85% (30:40:30)
50 g liquid extract of Plantain leaves (Plantaginis lanceolatae folium), DEV 1:1 extraction agent: ethanol 30% (v/v)

The other ingredients are: ethanol 96%, purified water, glycerol 85% total alcohol content: approx. 30% (v/v)
