Dietary food for special medical purposes. Balanced mixture of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, trace elements and minerals with fruit juices (from concentrate) and natural aroma. Semi-solid protein replacement without phenylalanine * (suitable for spooning). With sugars and sweetener. Contains docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Intended for dietary procedure in phenylketonuria (PKU) in children from 4 years of age and adults, including pregnant women (in conjunction with standard folic acid intake).
* The product may contain traces of phenylalanine (Phe) from fruit juice (from concentrate) in an amount of <5 mg per 109 g.
Dosage and method of use
The recommended intake will be determined by a physician or a person qualified in clinical nutrition depending on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
This product is not suitable as the only source of protein. It must be given together with a source of natural proteins, fluids and other nutrients in the amount prescribed by the doctor to cover the needs of phenylalanine and the basic nutritional needs of the patient. The product contains only trace amounts of sodium, potassium and chlorides.
