Prontosan is used for cleaning and moisturizing chronic wounds, for conservative wetting of dressings and covering wounds, dressings, gauze, tampons, sponges, gels, hydrophilic material, alginates, hydrocolloids. It is not cytotoxic, does not irritate, does not sensitize, does not cause pain, does not slow down granulation and epithelialization.
