RADIESSE 1 x 1.5ml

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxyapatite-based tissue stimulator. This ingredient provides immediate tissue volume correction by stimulating natural collagen production. It works at deep levels in the skin, leaving it firm, elastic, and strong.

The product is a good solution for people who want a short treatment and quick, visible results.

Indications

Radiesse is used in therapies aimed at:

• correction of moderate and deep wrinkles,
• stimulation of natural collagen production,
• facial lifting and contouring,
• improvement of skin quality.

Dosage

The drug is administered subcutaneously by injection.

Recommended needle sizes are 25G and 27G.

The needle is inserted into the skin at an angle of approximately 30 degrees. It should slide beneath the dermis to the point where the injection is to be initiated.

The results of the treatment last up to 12–18 months.

Contraindications

The preparation should not be administered to patients:

• who have had severe allergies manifesting as anaphylaxis or who have several severe allergies,
• hypersensitive to any of the ingredients,
• with blood clotting disorders,
• with inflammation and active skin infections at the treatment site.

Treatment with the drug is also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or persons under 18 years of age.

Interactions with other products

The calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) particles in Radiesse are radiopaque, clearly visible on CT scans, and can be seen on standard plain X-rays.

If laser treatment, chemical peeling or other procedures are planned after Radiesse therapy, there is a possible risk of an inflammatory reaction at the implant site.

There are no clinical studies that clearly establish the safety of using Radiesse in combination with therapies such as hair removal, UV radiation, laser treatments, mechanical or chemical peels.
