Abicin® 30% resin varnish is used for topical treatment of mild and moderate nail fungal infections and bacterial cuticle infections in adults.
Abicin® is a mixture of Norway spruce (Picea abies) resin and nail polish developed for medical use. The resin content of the varnish makes up 30% of the ingredients. The raw resin from the lacquer was cleaned using a purification method patented by Repolar Pharmaceuticals Oy. Each batch of Abicin 30% varnish is tested to guarantee the correct composition and purity.

Dosage and method of use
Treatment of fungal nail infection:
- Before starting treatment, file the affected nail or see a podiatrist.
- Apply the polish after a shower or bath to a clean, dry nail. Shake the bottle before use.
- Using the brush in the cap, apply a thin layer of polish to all areas of the nail, also under the tip of the nail and on the cuticles.
- Let the polish dry for approximately 15 minutes.
- Apply the polish twice a week until the damaged nail is replaced by a new, healthy one.
- It is recommended to remove old nail polish from your nails at least once a month, either mechanically or with nail polish remover. Several overlapping layers of polish can cause the nail to darken. The paint disappears when you remove the layers of polish. The varnish is water resistant.
- On average, a fingernail treatment lasts 3 to 6 months, and a toenail treatment takes 9 to 12 months, depending on the growth rate of the nail.
Cuticle infection treatment:
- To treat a cuticle infection, apply Abicin® varnish once a day to the affected area until the infection heals.
- If the infection worsens or recurs during treatment, contact a doctor.
- If the skin is broken, you may feel a burning sensation after applying the polish.

Ethanol denat., Norway spruce (Picea abies) resin, methoxyisopropanol, propylene glycol, isopropyl myristate.
Notification
Not suitable for people sensitive to resin. If you experience allergic skin symptoms (irritation in the treatment area), stop using the resin varnish and see a doctor if necessary.
Pregnancy and lactation: There are no research data on the use or possible side effects of Abicin® during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
Once opened, consume within 12 months. Store at room temperature.
