Septolete menthol lozenges work directly against microorganisms that cause infection, prevent the spread of infection and effectively reduce the problem of infections and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat.
Septolete menthol lozenges are intended for the local treatment of mild infections in the oral cavity and pharynx (pharyngitis, laryngitis), which is manifested by pain or burning in the throat, swelling, tingling, redness of the throat, hoarseness or irritating cough. They are also intended for inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa (gingivitis, stomatitis).
Dosage and method of use
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 8 lozenges per day. Let 1 lozenge dissolve in your mouth every 2 to 3 hours.
Children from 10 to 12 years of age are recommended to take up to 6 lozenges per day.
The recommended dose for children from 4 to 10 years is up to 4 lozenges per day.
Ingredients
The active substance is benzalkonium chloride 1 mg. Each lozenge contains: benzalkonium chloride 1 mg. The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, peppermint oil, coniferous oil, levomenthol, thymol, liquid paraffin, glycerol (E422), virgin castor oil, sorbitol (E420), dried liquid glucose, magnesium stearate (E572), quinoline yellow (E104), indigo carmine (E132), titanium dioxide (E171), wax polish (beeswax, carnauba wax, shellac), povidone, dimethicone emulsion, sucrose. Each lozenge contains 207.2 mg of lactose, 646.6 mg of sucrose, 33.67 mg of glucose and 152.7 mg of sorbitol.
Contraindication
Do not take Septolete menthol immediately before, during or with milk. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product.
