Smecta is used to treat acute and chronic diarrhea in children and adults. Smecta is a natural purified clay that binds to toxic substances resulting from infectious diarrhea. It also protects the mucosa against infection and harmful substances. Without consulting your doctor, Smecta can be given to children over 3 years of age.

When is it used?

Dosage

In case of acute diarrhea, give 2 bags a day to children over 2 years of age. You may double the dose at the start of treatment (ie 4 sachets on the first day of treatment). Dissolve the contents of the sachet in 50 ml of water or mix into a semi-liquid baby food. In case of diarrhea of ​​children under 3 years always consult a doctor.

Ingredients

The active substance is diosmectite (3 g per sachet).

The other ingredients are glucose monohydrate, saccharin sodium, vanilla flavor (contains maltodextrin, sucrose, triacetin, vanillin, silica, ethanol and soya lecithin), orange flavor (contains maltodextrin, sucrose, essential orange fertilizer, diacetyl monohydrate) , silica).
