Ester-C and the importance of vitamin C for health Ester-C is the most advanced form of vitamin C available. It was developed for faster absorption and retention in tissues. Ester-C is molecularly associated with calcium, so it has a neutral pH and therefore does not irritate the gastric mucosa like other acidic forms of vitamin C. Ester-C produces natural metabolites that enter cells much faster and more efficiently (common ascorbic acid gets from the blood serum more slowly and is rapidly lost from the body in the urine during passage through the kidneys). Ester-C strongly supports and strengthens the immune system.

Vitamin C reduces the ability of viruses to penetrate tissues (inhibits their enzyme hyaluronidase) and improves the stability of connective tissues through which viruses must pass. In general, viruses cannot survive in a vitamin C-rich environment.
