Stada Fultium D3 800 IU vitamins 90 capsules

This product is used to prevent vitamin D3 deficiency in adults, in the elderly and in adolescents (aged 12 and over) with an obvious risk of vitamin D3 deficiency. Vitamin D3 regulates the absorption and metabolism of calcium, as well as the incorporation of calcium into bone mass.

Do not take this product for more than 4 weeks without consulting your doctor. 

Ingredients:

• The active substance is colecalciferol (vitamin D3), one capsule contains 800 IU of colecalciferol, which corresponds to 20 micrograms of vitamin D3.
• Other components of this medicinal product are: capsule contents: purified corn oil, butylhydroxytoluene (BHT) (E 321); capsule: glycerol (E 422), purified water, brilliant blue FCF (E 133), gelatin (E 441).

Dosage / method of use:

• Always use the product exactly in accordance with the package leaflet or according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
• Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the dose of the preparation is 1 capsule per day. The daily dose must not exceed 4000 IU of vitamin D (five capsules).  
• This product is intended for administration by mouth (oral administration). The capsule should be swallowed whole, washed down with water and preferably taken with food.

Contraindication:

• Do not use if you are allergic to the medicinal substance or any other component of this product. 
• Vitamin D should be used with caution in patients with impaired renal function, as these patients are at higher risk of high blood calcium and phosphate levels, especially patients with severe renal impairment.
• Phosphate and calcium levels in the blood should be monitored during treatment with this product. - Caution is required if you are being treated with cardiac glycosides such as digitalis (used to treat heart disease). 
• Caution is required if you have sarcoidosis (a disorder of the immune system that can affect your liver, lungs, skin or lymph nodes).
• Caution is needed if you have a condition where your body does not respond to the hormone produced by the parathyroid glands, called parathyroid hormone (pseudohypoparathyroidism)
