Terbistad 1% cream treatsfungal and yeast infections of theskin, which most often manifest withitching, redness and peeling, for example:
athletic foot (tinea pedis)
skin candidiasis (yeast disease)
other dermatophytosis (tinea corporis)
The preparation may be used by adults and children from 12 years of age.Improvement of symptoms usually occurs after several days, but it should be taken regularly and long enough to prevent the return of the symptoms.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area of the skin and its surroundings, rub the cream gently into the skin.After washing, wash your hands if the treated areas are not in the hands.The number of applications per illness can be found in the package leaflet.If you do not feel better within 7 to 14 days or if you get sick, you should consult a doctor.
The active substance is terbinafine hydrochloride (10 mg in 1 g gel).
The other ingredients are sodium hydroxide (E524), benzyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate (E491), cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, cetylstearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60 (E435), isopropyl myristate, purified water.
Terbistad 1% cream contains cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol, which can cause local skin reactions (eg contact dermatitis).
