Urinary tract infection – a widespread problem
With the development of Urofem-ratiopharm®, a unique 4-fold combination of high-quality plant substances and vitamins is available, which contributes to positively influencing the disease through diet.

Recurring urinary tract infections:
Take 1 sachet daily for a long period of time (preferably in the evening).
- Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water and drink immediately.
- Can be prepared as a hot or cold drink.
Effect
Hibiscus Flower Extract (Ellirose®): Inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria
Urofem-ratiopharm® contains the patented hibiscus flower extract Ellirose®, which is characterized by a high proportion of organic acids, anthocyanins and flavonoids (plant pigments).
- Reduction of urinary tract infections by 89% 1 (for recurrent infections)
- High antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli 1
- Inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria 1
- Acidification of the urine, has a beneficial effect on bacterial colonization 1
cranberry
The cranberry extract in Urofem ratiopharm® contains effective proanthocyanidins (PAC). PAC are secondary plant compounds or antioxidants that protect our body from negative environmental influences. 2 According to available studies, an anti-adhesion effect (against the adhesion of bacteria) can be demonstrated in human urine with daily administration of 36 mg PAC. 3
D-Mannose
D-Mannose is a type of sugar that is mainly found in plants, which is not metabolized and is therefore excreted unchanged in the urine. D-mannose and proanthocyanidins (PAC) from cranberries inhibit the attachment of harmful bacteria to the bladder lining in different ways. In the case of urinary tract infections, harmful bacteria can be excreted with the urine. Clinical studies have shown positive effects on the symptoms and recurrence of urinary tract infections when consuming 2-3 g of D-mannose per day. 5
Vitamins C and D3
In addition, Urofem-ratiopharm® contains the two vitamins C and D3.
