Trauma ointment warming Mayrhofer is applied to healthy skin with:

• older injuries such as bruises, strains, sprains

Contraindications

Trauma ointment warming Mayrhofer must not be used

• if you are allergic to methyl salicylate, turpentine oil, cayenne pepper extract or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• as a large-scale long-term treatment in patients with a tendency to bleeding, stomach and intestinal ulcers, severe liver or kidney damage.

interactions

If ointments containing salicylate are used over a long period of time and over large areas, interactions with the following substances are possible:

• Medicines to thin the blood (increased risk of bleeding).
• Methotrexate, used in certain cancers and to treat certain forms of arthritis.
• Hypoglycemic (low blood sugar levels too low).
• certain medications for gout.
• certain medications for dehydration.
• cortisone-free pain and rheumatism medication.
• cortisone medications.

Use of Mayrhofer trauma ointment warming together with alcohol
If alcohol is taken at the same time, the damage to the gastric mucosa can be increased.

Apply to the painful parts of the body and massage in. Use only on healthy skin. Do not get on mucous membranes, open wounds and in the eyes. Wash your hands well after rubbing with the ointment. Large-scale application should be avoided.
