1. WHAT IS ZYMAFLUOR 0.25 MG AND WHAT IT IS USED
Zymafluor 0.25 mg contains the active substance natrium fluoride, which belongs to the group of drugs called dental caries.
Zymafluor 0.25 mg is used to prevent tooth decay.
Zymafluor 0.25 mg delivers fluoride to the teeth of your child, which increases teeth resistance to caries. The whole process begins before the teeth appear and continues for life.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE ZYMAFLUOR Do
not give Zymafluor 0.25 mg to your child
- if it is allergic (hypersensitive) to sodium fluoride (sodium fluoride) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Take special care with Zymafluor
Check with your doctor, dentist or pharmacist before taking Zymafluor 0.25 mg to your child.
The dose of Zymafluoride 0.25 mg for your baby should be adjusted to the amount of fluoride contained in drinking water and the amount of fluoride taken from other sources such as diet or toothpaste and your child's age.
Your doctor, dentist or pharmacist will help you determine the right dose for your child.
Pregnant women
Other medicines and Zymafluor 0.25 mg
If your child is taking medicines containing aluminum, calcium or magnesium salts, wait at least two hours before taking Zymafluor.
Your child's child's doctor should be informed about all medicines your child has taken or has recently taken, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Zymafluor 0.25 mg with food and drink
Do not take Zymafluor 0.25 mg at the same time with milk and dairy products.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Zymafluor has been used for many years in pregnancy without obvious side effects. The recommended dose for mothers during pregnancy is 1 mg of fluoride per day.
Driving and using machines
Zymafluor 0.25 mg has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
Zymafluor 0.25 mg contains sorbitol.
The product contains sorbitol. If your doctor has told you that you / your child is intolerant of some sugars,
talk to your doctor before taking this medicine to your child.
3. HOW TO TAKE ZYMAFLUOR 0.25 MG
Always take Zymafluor 0.25 mg exactly as your doctor has told you or if you are taking this medicine. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Use in children
Use the table in Chapter 2 to determine how much Zymafluor 0.25 mg your child should take every day. Zymafluor 0.25 mg is usually taken as a single daily dose. The tablets may be crushed and dissolved in a glass of water (not milk) or administered whole in a solid diet or alone.
Once the child's age allows, Zymafluor tablets should not be swallowed but should be dissolved in the mouth between the cheeks and the gums, sometimes on the right, sometimes on the left and completely dissolved.
It is best to take the tablets in the evening before bedtime after cleaning the teeth.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.

If you forget to take Zymafluor 0.25 mg
If you forget to give your child a daily dose of Zymafluor 0.25 mg, do not take a dose on the next day.
If you take more Zymafluor 0.25 mg than you should
Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you overdose.
If your child is taking too much fluoride
If your child is receiving high doses of fluoride for a longer period of time, such as a double daily dose for several years, white tears may appear on the teeth.
If your child has swallowed a large number of tablets

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Zymafluor may have side effects of 0.25 mg, although not everybody gets them. Some side effects are rare (affects 1 to 10 patients in 10,000).
While adhering to the recommended dosage, sodium fluoride has no significant side effects.
However, in rare cases cases of skin rash and reddening of the skin have been reported that disappeared rapidly after discontinuation of the product.

5. HOW TO STORE ZYMAFLUOR 0.25 MG
Keep out of the reach and sight of children
Store below 25 ° C in a sealed package in order to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton. Shelf life refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of any medicinal products in sewage or domestic waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. These measures help to protect the environment.
Symptoms of overdose include: increased saliva production, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
