Herbal laxative for short-term treatment of functional constipation . The senna leaf should only be used if it is not possible to improve the condition by altering the diet or administering laxatives. It is suitable for adults and adolescents from 12 years. Use in pregnant women and nursing mothers is not recommended.

Dosage

Pour 1 teaspoon (1 g) over a ¼ l of boiling water. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes in a covered container. Then strain. Always make fresh tea immediately before use. Take 1 cup of tea per night. Effect occurs after 8-12 hours. Normally, it is sufficient for this medicinal tea to be used 2 - 3 times a week.

The senna leaf is intended for short-term use, for a maximum of 1-2 weeks. Consult your doctor for more than 1-2 weeks.
