Preparation H is a rectal drug specifically developed for the treatment of hemorrhoids. It contains yeast extract, which greatly helps healing, and shark liver fat with emollient and lubricating properties, which relieve pain during emptying. Vitamin A in shark liver fat accelerates mucosal regeneration. Preparation H alleviates the pain, itching and other annoyances induced by hemorrhoids and helps alleviate inflammation of the tissue.

Preparation H is for adult patients. You can choose from suppositories or ointments. The ointment can be applied around the rectum or directly into the rectum using an applicator. For a longer-term effect, continue treatment for at least five days after the worst symptoms have subsided.
